Why do you have monthly charges for patients not enrolled in your preferred insurance providers?
There are several reasons. First, it is simple, and without staff to send out bills, simplicity is important. This system also reduces over-utilization by encouraging open communication between myself and patients through multiple means, including phone and e-mail. I also believe it helps encourage patients to come in to the office when they really do need to be seen without worrying about paying a large fee.
